JOIN IN AND HAVE SOME FUN

Carpet Bowls

Carpet bowls are played each Tuesday and Thursday afternoon at the Centre. between 12.30 and 3.30. Everyone is welcome from beginners to established players. After an afternoon of bowls you are welcome to join in for afternoon tea. Free coaching available if required.

Tai Chi

Tai Chi is held two days a week, Wednesday from 3.15 to 4.15 and Friday morning from 9.30 to 10.30. Tai Chi can boost upper and lower body flexibility as well as strength Tai Chi also improves balance according to many studies.

Gentle Gym

Gentle Gym is run from 10am to 11am each Monday morning. Gentle gym offers gentle exercise to keep our bodies active thus improving overall health. People are encouraged to participate at their own capabilities.

Singalong

Singalong is on Monday afternoons between 1pm and 3.30 pm. The Centre has a resident band and many guests artists perform throughout the year. Singalong encourages people to dance or singalong, even just tap your feet and sit back and enjoy the many tunes that are played throughout the afternoon.

Fundance

Fundance is held each Thursday between 9.30 and 11.15 am. Members come each week to keep active and line dance to many popular tunes, friendship and companionships are formed whilst keeping active. Many members stay and enjoy lunch in the Centre café.

Leisure Walking

Walkers meet at the Centre weekly on a Wednesday at 9am, you are encouraged to walk at your own pace and ability. The walkers go on a mystery bus trip occasionally visiting many tourist attractions around the South West.

Zumba Gold

Not exercised for ages? Obese? Got arthritis? Think you’re unco? Zumba Gold is the perfect fun exercise for everyone of all ages. It’s easy and fun – just follow me! 8.00 am Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday & 10am Wednesday. Zumba may change your life for the better. INSTRUCTOR: Betty McCleary

Pool

Pool club is just one of the many activities held at the Centre. Friday is pool club day and normally starts around 11am through to 3 pm. We welcome all abilities from beginners to regular players, both male and female players are encouraged to join in. Our aim is to have a fun day and meet new and old friends. The Pool table is situated in the downstairs lounge at the Centre.

Knitting Group

A group of likeminded knitters meet each Friday, from beginners to experienced knitters it is a casual atmosphere where you can learn and pick up hints for your project or show off your latest creation, all abilities welcome. The knitting group meets from 9am in the downstairs lounge.

Social Ladies

A small group meets every second Thursday to do some craft or knitting but mainly to socialise with each other. The group is very friendly and would welcome new members.
